Bus Riding Expectations

  • Be at the stop 10 minutes before the bus
  • Say a quick goodbye. The buses are on a tight schedule
  • Parents are not allowed on the bus
  • It is illegal to follow the bus
  • Children are seated according to grade
  • Kindergarteners will not be released without a parent or guardian present
  • Children must ride the bus they are assigned and only use their designated stop
  • If the driver does not feel the child can be left safely, they will be returned to the school office to wait for a parent to get them
    Children must remain seated and facing forward
  • No eating or drinking on the bus
    • We want to avoid choking hazards
    • There are children with severe allergies
  • We try not to make exceptions
    • There may be substitute drivers who are not familiar with special circumstances
    • Contact teacher and office by noon
    • Limit changes to emergency situations
  • Parent Drop-off is along the sidewalk in the back of the school at 7:50 AM.
  • Parent Pickup is along the sidewalk in the back of the school at 2:30 PM.
    • Do not enter the parking lot before 1:50 PM.
    • Place a parent-made sign with Teacher's Name and Student's Name on the front windshield.
